KEEPS Construction Division plays a vital role in Somaliland’s physical development by focusing on civil engineering, water infrastructure, and sustainable land and Watershed management. Operating under a distinct construction license (No. 882) granted by the Ministry of Public Works, Land, and Housing, this division sustains the same level of quality, innovation, and accountability that defines KEEPS.
Haffir Dams
Haffir dams are large-scale reservoirs excavated to capture and store rainwater. Our team specializes in designing these structures by local topography and hydrology, ensuring they provide sustainable water access for livestock, irrigation, and household use.
Earth Dams
We build compacted soil-based dams that collect and regulate seasonal water flows. Earth dams are crucial for communities facing long dry spells and serve as an essential source of water during dry seasons.
Berkeds (Water Tanks)
Traditional Somali water tanks, known as berkeds, are designed and constructed by our experts to harvest and store rainwater. These tanks serve thousands of families and livestock keepers, particularly in remote and semi-arid locations.
