Project Overview

As part of a sustainable land management program, we constructed berkeds designed to capture and store seasonal rainfall for rural communities. These traditional water tanks are vital in regions with limited groundwater access, providing essential water storage to support both domestic use and livestock needs.

The project included rehabilitation of existing berkeds and the construction of new ones, along with the installation of a water hand pump to improve accessibility.

Site evaluation and precision excavation prepared firm bases for heavy masonry work. Reinforced concrete and stone masonry techniques were used to build durable, water-tight structures. Site stabilization measures were also implemented to reduce erosion risks.

A dedicated team of engineers and skilled workers managed excavation, masonry, and finishing works. Our equipment fleet, including excavators and concrete mixers, ensured efficient and timely project delivery.

Outcome & Delivery

The berkeds were successfully constructed and rehabilitated, providing reliable water storage for rural communities with limited groundwater access. The installation of a water hand pump further enhanced accessibility, supporting both domestic use and livestock needs. This project significantly contributed to sustainable land and water resource management, improving the resilience and livelihoods of local populations.

Additionally, the project strengthened our expertise in managing water infrastructure in rural settings, enhancing team coordination, resource management, and quality control. It reinforced our commitment to delivering sustainable, community-focused solutions efficiently and within budget.
