KEEPS

The Kafi Enterprise for Environment Protection and Sanitation (KEEPS) was established in Hargeisa on 1st April 2012. This company, registered in the Ministry of Trade & Investment and Attorney General of Somaliland. It is a legal entity which has a valid commercial license and bylaws. It is a privately owned company which deals with hygiene and sanitation issues. It also deals with environmental protection and development of water facilities in the rural areas. Annually, KEEPS employs 132 persons in both permanent and temporary basis; it also contributes to demand of several small businesses by using their services and supplies, such as fuel stations, car washes, spare part suppliers, printing houses and Stationeries.

waste management and climate change solutions by applying
conventional and technological methods

Our Goal

The company goal is a consistent and sustainable system of waste management in the urban areas. And safe the environment and development of water facilities in the rural areas with friendly methods

Our Objectives

  • Collect garbage from 15,000 clients in Hargeisa including households and commercial entities and properly dispose to officially designated dumpsites
  • Create employment opportunities for number of unemployed citizens from low-income communities per year.
  • Generation of revenue in order to boost up business flourishing and sustainability
  • Maintain good appearance of environment both urban and rural areas
