Kafi Enterprise for Environment Protection and Sanitation (KEEPS) is a pioneering and privately owned enterprise based in Hargeisa, Somaliland. Since its inception on April 1st, 2012, KEEPS has built a strong reputation as a leading force in environmental protection, public sanitation, and infrastructure development. Officially registered with both the Ministry of Trade & Investment and the Office of the Attorney General of Somaliland, KEEPS operates under valid commercial and legal licenses, enabling it to deliver high-standard services across multiple regions.
KEEPS was founded with a visionary goal: to address the pressing challenges of environmental and sanitation situation in Somaliland. Over the years, the company has evolved into a model for sustainable urban and rural development. It is widely recognized as the first operational and leading company in solid waste management and Water Sanitation in Somaliland, introducing innovative solutions and establishing long-term partnerships with government and non-government actors.
The company is structured into two distinct yet synergistic divisions—Urban Waste Management and Water ,Sanitation and Construction, each with its own management, legal license, and operational scope. While they operate independently, these divisions function in parallel, reinforcing each other to achieve a shared mission: to enhance environmental health and WASH infrastructure resilience throughout Somaliland.
